JT introduced me to white lies. we think it’s a little joy division, a touch of duran duran and a hint of brandon flowers on the high points. lyrically, they’re a little dark but nowhere near as bleak as ian curtis’ brand of depression. also they’re more melodic, hence easier listening than joy division. really love his voice.

then there’s foals, which ah hiong chucked into my public folder. very dance-y indie. what really caught me was the irregular drumming and untreated sound. it’s so asking to be played at twilight action girl. (maybe they have already, haven’t been to zouk in 5 months so i wouldn’t know.)

i want to go dancing!
