yes, i’m a hoarder
in the future, i predict that my family will have to dig my rotting, days-old corpse out from under tonnes of stuff that might have been terribly useful one day. this is how it all began.

googling brought up a few hot spots in KL: Leo’s at Ampang Park Keat Camera at Jalan Pudu E-Six at Pudu Plaza Engtong at SS2 PJ Central Kodak Shop At Central Market apparently kodak professional b&w 400 cn is going for approximately RM17 outside. bought mine at mid valley for RM30. sucker! i also asked [...]
i hereby pledge to: buy new film every month. like, stop wasting money on clothes and start buying slide film before they all vanish off the face of the earth. let’s say: 1 roll slide film and 5 rolls negative film. start expiring my own rolls. technically cheaper to buy expired film, but i don’t [...]
so i picked up my singapore rolls on the way to the doctor (yeah, sick on the fucking weekend. go fucking figure.) and while JT loves the cross processed look, i’m still not too sure how i feel about it. no doubt it’s interesting, but i think my money could be better spent on other [...]
so, seeing as how easy it is to lomo-fy photos (tweak R,G & B curves respectively; contrast curves, overlay another solid; add noise) i guess it can’t be the look i’m in love with. so what is it? the spontaneity? the breaking of traditional framing conventions? the indie street cred? or is it a simple [...]

Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (as of today stil unnamed) slightly geeky boring stuff: lens: wide 22mm lens shutter speed: 1/100 aperture: f8 Film type: 135 (35mm) film got back my first roll (after some procrastination). success rate 1/3 since i overestimated the indoor/night capabilities [...]
i’d noticed that, despite being the “automatic exposure dream machine”, the LC-A+ tends to underexpose shots even in bright daylight. so the cool hack (hehe) was a piece of black duct tape covering the light meter. a new problem arose – overexposing shots. these are from the latest batch, a mixture of kodak/fujifilm and ASA200/400. [...]
a not-terribly-flattering photo of ming. but i think it captures his spirit very well. :D
developed 3 rolls of LCA+ yumminess today. being the stingy teochew that i am and so smart that i am, got them developed without making prints. RM8 a pop + a lot of scanning. danke!
